As a kid who grew up in the era of Barney and Power Rangers, I know that celebrity stalkers are no laughing matter. Unless the stalker is a mime. Then it’s hilarious. Especially when they stalk while pretending to be trapped in an invisible box. Inexplicable mega-star Jennifer Aniston is the latest victim of Hollywood stalkerdom, and although her perpetrator doesn’t wear a striped shirt and suspenders, he’s still pretty colorful. Jennifer Aniston has been granted a restraining order against a stalker suspect who’d driven cross-country to be with her in a car that had messages including “I love Jennifer Aniston” and “I love you Jennifer Aniston” carved into its hood and driver’s side door.

Unable to locate the actress’ home address, Jason R. Peyton was arrested July 15 on Sunset Boulevard hanging out and looking for her near businesses he believes she frequents. He was placed on a psychiatric hold, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

He was, the documents said, found “laying-in-wait” for Aniston in possession of …

… a sharp object, a roll of duct tape and written messages to the actress — including baby names for the child he hoped they’d have together. He allegedly believes he’s been secretly mentally communicating with her for two years.
Peyton’s parents reported him missing after he took off from his Pennsylvania around June 25, leaving a note that said he was going to California; he called his mother while he was on the road, and she contacted L.A. police after he told her he was “on a mission to go to Jennifer Aniston” and that she would “hear about it on the news.”

Also, police found “Mr. Jennifer Aniston. Mr. and Mrs. Aniston. Jason R. Peyton-Aniston. Jennifer Aniston Payton the First” written in sparkle pen in the back of his Charmkins diary. Allegedly, he drew hearts.

New York City police say they have arrested rapper-actor Ice-T on accusations of driving with a suspended licence.

Police say the entertainer was driving a 2009 Cadillac near West 40th Street and 11th Avenue on Tuesday (local time) when officers stopped him for not wearing a seat belt. They said they ran a check and discovered his licence was suspended.

The NYPD said he would be given a ticket and released.

Ice-T denied wrongdoing via Twitter. He says he has a valid New Jersey licence and calls the police’s allegations against him a “lie.”

The actor has played Detective Fin Tutuola on the TV drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit since 2000.

Taylor Swift, who sold millions of records detailing the agonies of adolescence, said her third album will be a “conceptual” release directed at specific people she met during her dizzying ascent to stardom in the past two years.

“In life you have a lot of situations that pop up and people come into your life and sometimes you don’t get to tell them what you wish you would have told them,” the 20-year-old singer/songwriter told fans during an internet broadcast.

“This album is my opportunity to do that. Track by track, each song is a different confession to a different person.”

The aptly titled “Speak Now” will come out worldwide on October 25 through Nashville-based independent label Big Machine Records.

Swift said the first single – “Mine” to be released on August 16 – was a song of hope inspired by her recent tendency to run from love.

“I’m never ever going to go past hoping that love can work out,” she said.

For the first time, Swift wrote all of the songs herself and she produced the album with Nathan Chapman, who produced her previous releases. An extensive world tour will follow, she said, although dates have not yet been disclosed.

Swift is helping to keep the lights on in the ailing music business. She was the top-selling artist in the United States in 2008 and No. 2 last year behind Michael Jackson, according to tracking firm Nielsen SoundScan.

Swift also boasted the No. 4 North American tour during the first half of 2010, according to trade publication Pollstar.

Her previous album “Fearless,” whose songs she either wrote or co-wrote, has sold 5.9 million copies in the United States since its release in November 2008, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It yielded four Grammy awards in January, including album of the year, making Swift the youngest winner of the music industry’s top prize.

Her self-titled 2006 debut, which has sold 4.8 million copies, and her second album are still in the US charts.

The actress was sentenced to 90 days in prison and 90 days in rehab earlier this month, after she violated the terms of her probation. She was handed the sentence after failing to attend enough of her alcohol education classes as part of her 2007 conviction for Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Lindsay surrendered at a Beverly Hills court yesterday, and was led away in handcuffs. Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley has been to visit her at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, and says she is struggling to cope.

“Understandably, Lindsay’s having a difficult time adjusting as it would be for anyone,” Shawn said. “She’s trying to make the necessary adjustments to an extremely stressful and difficult situation. There were some tears.”

Lindsay is expected to serve around two weeks of her sentence. She is being kept away from the prison’s general population, and will spend 22 hours a day alone in a 12ft. by 8ft. cell. Reality television star Alexis Neiers, who is serving 180 days inside after pleading no contest in relation to a charge of burglary of Orlando Bloom’s home, is in the cell next to Lindsay. Paris Hilton stayed in Alexis’ cell when she was incarcerated in 2007.

“Generally, the first two days in jail are the most difficult. I just kept reminding her of that. She’s doing the best she can,” Shawn added to People magazine. “Her spirits aren’t high but I spoke to some of the deputies and they said Lindsay’s reaction is the same as anyone in her situation.”

Mel Gibson is fighting back against his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva by having the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department investigate her alleged attempt to extort the actor. Read more on the latest in the Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva drama below.

Mel Gibson’s attorney reportedly met with L.A. Country sheriff’s deputies yesterday to show evidence that Grigorieva was trying to extort millions from Gibson.

The evidence must have been substantial because the sheriff’s department is investigating the allegations. Oksana may even be investigated for making false claims.

Grigorieva is said to have wanted $10 million to keep her from releasing the audio tapes.

“It is starting to look more and more like a good old-fashioned shake down for money,” Hollywood image consultant, Michael Sands said. “We all know Mel is a childish name caller as those tapes have proved, but that’s very different to being a violent monster. Something just isn’t right here.”

Lindsay Lohan is serving her 90-day sentence (which will probably only be two weeks) for violating her DUI probation at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California.

Alexis Neiers began serving her 180-day sentence last month after pleading no contest to a first-degree residential burglary charge of actor Orlando Bloom’s home. Neiers is also accused of breaking into Lindsay Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home.

The two women probably won’t come face-to-face as Lohan will be isolated in the 2,200-bed facility’s special needs unit for safety reason.

Lohan could be released just in time for the premiere of her movie “Machete,” where Lohan plays a nun.
