Matt Damon insists he isn’t worried about turning 40, because he has so much to look forward to.
The actor reaches the landmark birthday this October, and while many others may fear getting older, he is happy with what he has achieved so far.
Matt has enjoyed a successful career and is happily married to Luciana Bozan Barroso, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child.
Even though he is entering a new decade, Matt is confident there will be many more opportunities for him to further his career as it will allow him to consider other types of roles.
“I don’t know how I will celebrate turning 40 yet, but yet I am not afraid of this number,” he told German television channel Tele 5, who are showing The Brothers Grimm on August 3.
“When you work with people like Clint Eastwood or Morgan Freeman who have done such great things in their 70s and are still active I am not worried because of my future.”
Matt and Luciana ensure they put their relationship before his hectic work schedule and never spend more than two weeks away from each other.
The Hollywood hunk hates being parted from his kids and usually arranges for them to accompany him when he is shooting on location, or does his best to work predominantly in the US.
“When I was making Invictus we lived in South Africa for a couple of weeks. For Green Zone I took my wife and children with me to Morocco. But our main base is New York therefore I try to find movies which are made there or nearby,” Matt explained.
“Luciana and I have this deal that we aren’t separated for more than two weeks. There must be a solution for everything else.”
Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is stepping down from her position as a judge on the singing competition show stating:
“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the ‘American Idol’ producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” Ellen said in a statement. “I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.”
DeGeneres said she gave the decision lots of thought.
“It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for,” her statement continued. “I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”
Ellen said she enjoyed her time on “American Idol” though and remains a huge fan.
“I loved the experience working on ‘Idol’ and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be,” her statement concluded.
Ellen took to her Twitter on Thursday writing, “Dim the lights…I’ve voted myself off American Idol.”
“I loved Ellen’s passion for the artists and her nurturing skills,” “Idol” creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said. “She brought honesty and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly.”

Sara Gilbert officially “came out” as a lesbian during the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Gilbert has kept quiet on her sexuality but it was pretty damn obvious if you ever watched her as a teen on “Roseanne”, plus she has two children withtelevision producer, Allison Adler.
A reporter asked Sara if she was comfortable being “out” on her new talk show, ‘The Talk,’ and Sara said, “This is a whole new world for me. I’m not an expert on this, or I don’t analyze these things,” she explained. “I’m just sort of living my life.”
“I don’t think [being out] will be a problem … I don’t ever really think of things as being out or in … I just think I am who I am, and when topics come up that are appropriate, I’ll talk about them and share when it seems right,” she adds.
Gilbert and Adler have dated since 2002 and have a son, Levi, 5, and a daughter, Sawyer, who turns 3 in August. Adler gave birth to Levi and Gilbert gave birth to Sawyer.
“I’ve been acting my whole life, and I’ve never really discussed my personal life. This is a talk show, so obviously, I’m going to be discussing my life more, and I felt that the first place I wanted to do it wasn’t in a CBS press release. It just seemed impersonal, and I felt like I’d rather come in person and talk to you about all that stuff here,” she added.
Gilbert is the executive producer and co-host of “The Talk”, a show on parenting.

Foxy was involved in a fight at a luxury high-rise on 43rd Street and fled the scene before the NYPD arrived.
Sources say one of the people Brown fought with was her own manager!
The troubles began after Foxy blew off an interview with a reporter who was going to give her side of the story in her latest legal woes.
Brown finally came down to the lobby, six hours late, for the interview with WNBC reporter Tom Llamas.
Foxy wasn’t happy and was swearing up a storm.
“She was out of control,” the source said. “She was told to keep her voice down and to act right, but she didn’t want to hear any of it.”
Foxy was asked to keep it down and her manager, Bernadette Brennan, was called. But Brennan didn’t have any luck calming the rapper down and was attacked when she tried.
Brown was said to have fought with several other people from her own entourage and it took ten people to break up the brawl.
Police arrived on the scene but Foxy had already left. No arrests were made.
Foxy was arrested in NYC recently for flashing her neighbor and violating a protection order. Foxy has been charged with public lewdness, harassment, and criminal contempt in that case.
An online parody of a Jay-Z hit that swaps New York’s metropolis for a modest Welsh port town has won hundreds of thousands of fans, the director of the spoof said.
The video Newport (Ymerodraeth State of Mind), a comic tribute to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ 2009 single Empire State of Mind, has been viewed more than 1.65 million times on You Tube and drawn praise for its witty lyrics.
Ymerodraeth is the Welsh word for empire.
Morgan Jane Delaney, a 24-year-old filmmaker, shot a near frame-by-frame recreation of the original music video, but in the less glamorous surroundings of the south Wales city – about 220 kilometres west of London.
She said the concept began as a private joke with her boyfriend and their comedian friend, but soon snowballed into a film project.
“We just started singing different place names instead of New York, just as a joke, and we thought that Newport was funny. I don’t really know why I decided to go the whole hog and make a film of it, but it just seemed like fun,” the director said.
“When you’re in Newport. Chips, cheese, curry makes you feel brand new, washed down with a Special Brew,” the lyric reads, referring to a local fast-food meal and Special Brew, a type of super-strength beer.
